- Lifetime Student in school of Hard Knocks.Born in Troy NY home of UncleSam,FALLOUT Capital of the Nation(google"The Troy Incident")other places I called home; Tucson & Bullhead City, Az., Seattle,Wa.,Taos,Ojo Caliente &Santa Fe,NM, LasVegas,Searchlight,Goodsprings,Jean,& Laughlin,NV.,San Francisco, Ca.,Portland,Or.,just 2 name a few. Places I have worked are bars, horse & dog tracks and casinos, and, later in life,law firms & with lawyers. Now in retirement,I stay home & mind my little mini-farm. In my spare time I pretty much live vicariously through the wonders of the www. I guess you could say (ala Eddie Rabitt) that I am - bloggin my life away,....lookin for & workin towards a better day, ohhh yeah. But however you look at it, there aint no gettin' around it, I'm jus' an ole' x-hippy-chick, struggling ever "onward through the fog" of life,....still here, still standin,..still laughing, after all these crazy years, and whats more amazing yet, still with at least some functioning brain cells!(Though through absolutely no fault of my own. You fools worry about horses when brave young amercains figth and die in forgein lands Worry about the children and elderly in this country if you dont want your horse butcherd keep him home with you.

I agree- the animal rights activists are out of control. They bite off more than they can chew with large seizures and then cry to the public, oh we need money, we need money.
I have a no-kill shelter behind me- I think it may also be a no adopt shelter- I was last there in Februrary and they claimed to have over 100 dogs, cats and other small animals. The criteria to adopt is basically no children, no old people, need to be home, yadda, yadda, yadda
The only donations they accept are cash or high-priced food-
Why are allowed such power?
America has a very highly paid all volunteer military. The horses are helpless victims just like children only worse because they cannot tell everybody whathappened to them and cannot dial 911. Cruelty should be a felony with mandatory jail time.
